Youth Power’s PwrHrs Afterschool program improves students’ achievement, education and school engagement through extended learning and enrichment opportunities.

PwrHrs Afterschool is a research and evidence-based program that expands learning opportunities and accelerates students’ growth. Our intentional programming provides critical trusted adult relationships for young people and includes:

  • Hands-on, project-based learning
  • Academic enrichment and support
  • Service learning, outdoor adventure, and community projects
  • Social-emotional wellness activities

FAQ

A small fee is associated with our programs, but fee waivers are available. Please contact Youth Power at [email protected] to learn more about financial assistance. We work with each family individually to help ensure their children can participate.

Yes, we have a secure online platform. We will not report your personally identifiable information to anyone outside of Youth Power.

Once applications have closed, our waitlist opens.

Enrollment takes a little time, and we appreciate your patience. Once a spot opens, please allow about one week for us to contact you. Spots are offered based on need rather than in the order we receive requests. Priority is given to students with academic, social-emotional, and/or financial needs.

Here’s how the process works:

  1. Your student is added to the waitlist.
  2. When a spot becomes available, our office manager will call you to complete enrollment. This includes completing an application, assigning your student in a program, and sending an invoice to the primary caregiver.
  3. Your student is now officially accepted and can begin attending programs.
    You won’t need to call to check your status; we’ll reach out as soon as a spot opens.
