Youth Power’s Parent Mentors program provides training and support to help develop participants into educational leaders and role models in their school communities through classroom volunteerism.
Our Parent Mentors program gives caregivers in our community the opportunity to deepen relationships, be an inspiration and make connections. Participants also are trained in professional development topics, including advocacy, early literacy and math skills, and leadership.
Caregivers become committed volunteers with a classroom teacher for the course of one school year. Through observation, modeling and mentoring, the participants become active supports in the success of each student in the classroom.
